Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Still, the novice is still one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making massive paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really happening.
